Kofy Hagan is currently the Head of Marketing of Ghana’s leading Human Resource Development organization, L’AINE Services Limited and the Immediate Past Editor-in-Chief of the HR Focus and MM Focus Magazines. As an Engineer turned Marketer; he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG)’s School of Marketing.
At L’AINE, he led the creation of a marketing department that plans and implements the organization’s IMC strategies. His marketing efforts saw the organization gain immense exposure and after only 2 years, received several local and international awards including CIMG Marketing awards and the Ghana Club 100 award.
Kofy is also the Creative Director for all L’AINE’s advertising campaigns, which are produced in-house. One of the adverts he conceptualized and designed (‘Bending Over Backwards’) was awarded the CIMG Print Advert of the Year – 2011.
In 2009, Kofy started the HR Focus magazine - Ghana’s 1st and only HR magazine. As Editor-in-Chief, he saw to the successful transformation of a fledgling publication into a highly rated magazine that is widely embraced today by corporate Ghana and beyond. He later successfully launched the MM Focus magazine - a marketing and media magazine published under the auspices of CIMG.
Kofy is the Co-founder of Echohouse Ghana; a marketing and publishing company that stemmed from the successful publication of a student’s magazine in 2008. The company has led successful BTL activations for several local and international companies as well as organised a number of nationally acclaimed events for the youth in Ghana.
In October 2013, Kofy was awarded the TNJ Africa 40 Under 40 Achievement Award. This award honours Africa’s next generation of business and professional leaders under the age of forty who are excelling in their chosen industries and are committed to the social and economic development of the continent.
Kofy currently serves on the Board of First African Marketing Associates Ltd. (FAMAL), Echohouse Ghana Ltd. and Verit Investments Co. Ltd.
